My research is driven by an interest in the natural history of island vertebrates and the ways it can inform conservation practice. I actively engage with other scientists, government organizations and NGO’s to identify and help implement conservation programs for some of the world’s rarest island species. I see myself as a facilitator for effective conservation projects, rather than an “expert” on a particular problem or animal group. My approach to finding solutions to the biodiversity extinction crisis combines my strong background in ecology and conservation biology with my commitment to mentoring young conservationists.
